Incredible! That is the best word I have for this season. We started out a little rough, but in a matter of few months nearly doubled our point production and came home from Nationals with a gold medal; pretty amazing for my first Nationals and more than a bit nerve-wracking at times. I was more than a little intimidated by the talent on the team when I was invited to participate, but it was a great experience. We had excellent team dynamics, a good practice regimen, abundant enthusiasm and most importantly – a good sense of humor; especially Harry!
As I write this I realize that I have great memories of everyone on the team; from BJ early in the season saying “That’s some of the best 8-way I’ve ever done” to JJ giving us the thumbs up during the tie-breaker round with Gary. And what can I say about Kimmie and Tyree? For me, Nationals without them would have been a let-down, but they persevered in spite of the pain. Everyone worked hard all year, made sacrifices for the team (sometimes painful ones) and made it a fun, truly enjoyable experience. I was really happy to be a part of it all and I sincerely thank everyone for the opportunity.
